Sep 30, 2017 (China Knowledge) – According to International Federation of Robotics the total value of global robot industry should reach US$ 20 billion in 2017, an increase of 14.5%, and China will take up a quarter of the market share. The domestic robotic industry is expected to reach US$ 6.28 billion. The recent World Robot Conference 2017 held at Beijing E-Town, a triple-A rated industrial park and epicenter of robotic R&D and robot manufacturing hub, displayed some of the world's latest technology for the healthcare, F&B, infrastructure and financial industry.
At the show many new concepts and applications of robotic were on display including transformer-type robots, unmanned aerial vehicles, and robots performing glass-wiping, calligraphy and many specialized functions cater to the manufacturing and service sector.
This year's themes primarily focus on China's leading technologies in areas of voice and face recognition, artificial intelligence and robotic application use for smart city and e-government management.
The exhibition and conference venue at Beijing E-Town, home to China's hi-tech industries and robotic R&D and manufacturing, reflects the capital leading role in building and nurturing the country's best robotic companies which account over 50 percent of the capital out value for the industry.
According to Beijing E-Town's administrative commission the area has brought in heavy-weight HIT Robot Group, Yaskawa Shougang Robot Co., Ltd, ABB Group, FESTO and other world leading companies in robot manufacturing and R&D that form a comprehensive supply chain and industry cluster.
Currently more than100 robotic enterprises have set up in Beijing E-Town, with a total output value of RMB 3 billion that account for over 50% of this industry in Beijing covering robots used for wide applications, key robot parts manufacturing and R&D centers. It is estimated the figure could reach RMB 60 billion by 2025.
