Sep 30, 2019 (China Knowledge) - 29 Sep, Alibaba (BABA) and Greenland Holding (600606) signed an agreement to build smart homes and develop industrial parks.

The two sides will leverage each party’s core business of real estate and infrastructure from Greenland; and cloud computing, Internet of Things(IoT), Big Data, artificial intelligence(AI) technology from Alibaba to form a cooperative mode of “ecological + technology + real estate”.

The scope of cooperation covers project development, innovation industrial park development, real estate technology enablement, product interconnectivity among smart home, smart business office, smart town and innovation laboratory.

At the beginning of Sep, Greenland had already partnered Alibaba and Huawei to set up a “real estate + industry” project that covers the construction smart industrial parks, ICT infrastructures, AI and 5G base stations.

Since beginning of the year, Greenland has aggressively been pushing ‘real estate + technology’ cooperation with other tech giants including ZTE (000063) and other tech enterprises. Just days ago, on 25 Sep, Greenland and ZTE signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement to joint- build a revolutionary model combining real estate development and AI, and promote the integration of 5G, Cloud computing, Big Data and IoT capabilities.
