Nov 02, 2018 (China Knowledge) - The final round of the Hong Kong Fintech Week is a trip Shenzhen, a first cross-border event for fintech, where participants will be able to see some of the most innovative companies in the Greater Bay Area.

The companies include tech giant Tencent, China's first digital only bank WeBank and China's first online-only insurer Zhong An. Participants will be able to view and experience up close how these companies operate and function day-to-day through a company visit to each respective company's headquarters in Shenzhen.

The Hong Kong Fintech Week this year has been a remarkable success drawing in more than 8,000 attendees, 200 speakers with 70% being senior executives in their own companies. The participants come from over 50 different countries, allowing the event to be a platform for a global exchange of ideas.

With a GDP of USD 1.34 trillion and home to 66.7 million people, the Greater Bay Area is a bustling hub for technology and innovation. The Greater Bay Area has also sometimes been dubbed as the "Silicon Valley" of China. The region looks set to see more innovative fintech startups and ideas in the future.
