May 17, 2022 (China Knowledge) - FTSE China A50 index rises 0.32% on opening to 13,201.5.

Of the 50 stocks in the index, China Merchants Bank (600036) and China Pacific Insurance (601601) saw the largest increase of 1.27% and 0.77%, respectively.

Poly Real Estate (600048) and Hangzhou Hikvision Digital Technology (002415) fell the most, dropping 1.48% and 1.1%, respectively.

The Shanghai Composite Index opened 3,076.5, rising 0.09%, Shenzhen Component Index 11,095.4, up 0.02%. Over at HK, Hang Seng Index climbed 1.22%, to open at 20,193.6.

Last night, the Dow Jones Index ended 0.44% higher, while the NASDAQ declined by 0.16%.
