China Telecom posts higher profits amounting USD 3.2 bln, despite COVID-19

Mar 15, 2021 (China Knowledge) - One of China’s largest telecom provider, China Telecom, reported growth in profits and operating revenue in 2020.

The net profit totaled RMB 20.85 bln (USD 3.2 bln), up 1.6% YoY. The operating revenue rose 4.7% YoY to RMB 393.6 bln.

The company mobile subscribers were 351 mln, with the number of 5G mobile subscribers rising to 86.5 mln.
