Jan 14, 2021 (China Knowledge) - Today the Shanghai Composite Index closed at 3,565.90, down 0.91%, and Shenzhen Component Index finished at 15,070.13, down 1.92%, the Hang Seng Index closed at 28,496.86, up 0.93%. The trading volume for three exchanges recorded USD 194.4 bln, down 7.68% from the previous trading day.

The markets turned up 2,496 gainers, 1,517 losers, and 112 remained unchanged.

By sectors, the top three most active traded architecture & interior design, iron & steel and telecom, with an increase of 1.78%, 1.63% and 1.06%, respectively. The military sector saw the biggest drop of 5.80%, followed by leisure service (-4.81%) and electrical equipment (-2.79%).

As of 16:30 p.m. BJT, USD/RMB was trading at 6.4682, up 31 bps from the previous close.
