Aug 13, 2019 (China Knowledge) - Beijing-based tech startup Terminus Technologies has obtained RMB 2 billion (USD 283 million) in its C-round fundraising. The early-stage investor of the company, Chinese financial giant China Everbright is the leading backer.
Terminus has kept a high-speed growth of more than 200% of annual revenue since its establishment in 2015. The company focuses on AIoT technology (AI+IoT), committed to promoting the integration of new technology and the real economy aiming to become world's leading intelligence service supplier.
Terminus provides governments and enterprises with intelligent IoT solutions for urban communities and buildings nationwide. Its AIoT aims to help build energy management, electronic security and fire protection systems. It has also engaged in cutting-edge computing and smart terminal development.
Several industry giants including JD.COM (JD), Wanda Group (300168) and voice technology specialist Iflytek (002230) are also among the investors. JD states that its rich technical expertise can help Terminus improve in the security, government and retail sectors. The fund will be put into use on recruitment and business development, says its Chief Executive, Ai Yu.
Terminus has already signed 8,400 projects. China Everbright incubated the firm and it had raised RMB 1.7 billion in initial funding phase before the C-round, with investors including IDG Capital, CITIC and SenseTime.
