Dec 06, 2018 (China Knowledge) - China's early childhood education firm Zhang Tong Jia Yuan has completed a USD 100 million series-D funding round led by private equity firm Centurium Capital. The funds will be used to develop the company’s platform and to speed up the building of a training tool for kindergarten principals.
Prior to this funding round, the company had completed 8 other funding rounds and raised more than USD 150 million from investors such as New Oriental Group and China Equity Group.
Zhang Tong Jia Yuan is an interactive education platform that connects parents to pre-school teachers by allowing teachers to share photos and video of children in pre-schools. The company will move ahead and focus on building a more open and complete platform and ecosystem to increase efficiency in the early childhood education industry.
The company currently has nearly 10 million active parents on its platform which accounts for about 65% of the market share in early childhood education.
Investors of the company such as Centurium and Neo Oriental both see a growing demand in the early childhood education market and believes that Zhang Tong Jia Yuan is well positioned to capture the growth to continue its development.
