Nov 30, 2018 (China Knowledge) - Guotai Junan Securities and Tencent have formally signed a strategic cooperation agreement, yesterday, on financial science and technology. Both sides indicated that they would actively explore the use of cloud-based financial technology to enhance business operation and innovation efficiency, and provide investors with a systematic and high-quality intelligent financial service experience.
Yu Feng, director of information technology of Guotai Junan Securities, believes that this cooperation will help solve problems and promote innovation in the securities industry. He said that the combination of Tencent's technological capabilities and our company's leading position and innovative scene in the securities business field will effectively enhance our financial services’ intelligence level, and we will be able to better serve investors.
Hu Liming, general manager of Tencent Financial Cloud, said that in the era of industrial Internet, fintech is becoming a new momentum for innovation and development of the financial industry. Tencent Cloud is committed to understanding the financial business scenario, and to help financial institutions achieve the digital upgrading of the whole business scenario with the fintech capabilities of safety and compliance.
Information system security is the focus of the cooperation between the two sides. In 2017, 53% of securities firms suffered DDoS attacks for 4558 times, among which AA-rated securities firms were the main target. Through this cooperation, Guotai Junan will rely on Tencent to build stronger security protection capabilities of APP and IT systems. In addition, the two sides will try to combine securities marketing and social scene to improve the efficiency of securities customers.
