Nov 29, 2018 (China Knowledge) - The Bank of Lithuania has awarded a Chinese controlled payment company Paytend Europe with an e-money license, yesterday; as the country seeks to be the payment gateway platform for businesses between China and European Union (EU).
This e-money license will allow Payten Europe to issue e-money and provide payment service. The license will also provide the company access to payment services between China and EU as the Bank is a member of the Euro system.
Partnership between the two parties will not only bring convenience and cheaper services to businesses but also individuals making international transactions.
Paytend is among the five Chinese companies that have received licenses from the bank this year, according to a statement released by the bank.
