Nov 08, 2018 (China Knowledge) - Huawei’s sixth annual European Innovation Day kicked started in Italian city of Rome, yesterday. The event was held at the Roma Convention Center La Nuvola, with the theme “Innovate for a Digital Europe”.
This event aims to bring a broad range of digital economy stakeholders including representatives from government, enterprises, scientific research community, and individuals across Europe together. Through this event, partners will share their best practices in different industries, encouraging global innovation and open partnership.
Keynotes during the events can be categorise into 3 broad themes, how digitalisation transforms technology, how technology shapes businesses, and how businesses can enriche life.
Key speakers included people such as Prof. Erdal Arikan, the inventor of polar code for 5G, Dr. Liang Hua, the Chairman of Huawei’s Board of Directors, and Mr. Markus Dillinger, the executive committee member for the 5GAA.
The event also witnessed the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) between Huawei Italia and ACEA on Smart City, and that with Autonomous Region of Sardinia & CRS4, Centre for Advanced Studies and Research in Sardinia S.u.r.l. on Joint Innovation Center.
Italian Minister for Parliamentary Relations and Direct Democracy, Riccardo Fraccaro was also there to grace the event.
