Oct 22, 2018 (China Knowledge) - On the morning of September 23, with official opening and operation of Hong Kong section of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL), Guangdong-Hong Kong port entered into the era of 'super train'. Hollysys from Beijing E-Town participated in the construction of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Hong Kong Express Rail Link (XRL) project as a ground signal system and vehicle signal system integrator (841A&B project), it also installed a 'super brain' for XRL.
One notable feature in this XRL project is the country's first high-speed railway signal system in Hong Kong. It is also the first time that the country's CTCS-3 train control system has stepped out of mainland China, and that Hollysys participated in the construction of Hong Kong high-speed railway signal system and integrated monitoring system as a general contractor. It marks the first time for Hollysys to have full access to international safety process standards and took up full implementation of international project management standards.
In the project, Hollysys provided the user with a comprehensive monitoring system (853 project) with completion of design, procurement, manufacturing, supply, delivery, transportation, storage, installation, testing, commissioning, training, warranty period maintenance and other full-time work for the signal and integrated monitoring systems in the entire Hong Kong section.
To date Hollysys Group's products have played an important role in railway construction, witnessing the evolution of China's railway from general to heavy load, normal speed to high speed, and from import to export. Hollysys product platform including the CTCS-2 train control system solution, train-controlled vehicle equipment, station train control center, computer interlocking system, and multi-mode track circuit among others has played a central role in railway construction and safety operations and ensures safe transport of passengers and goods, and is recognized as a benchmark for leading the industry.
Its control system solution has been successfully applied in China's sixth high speed railway, contributing to the transformation of train operation control system technology into independent intellectual property rights. At present, about 280 sets of train-borne equipment (ATP) are in use in high speed train of China Railway Beijing Group Co., Ltd. and other seven Railway Bureaus including CRH1, CRH2 and CRH5; station train control center and LEU equipment have also been installed for Beijing-Shanghai, Beijing-Harbin, Shanghai-Kunming and Guangzhou-Shenzhen Lines with success.
