Beijing Economic-technological Development Area, or BDA, saw three new projects start construction in the area last Tuesday.
The three projects included the satellite navigation industry base of Beijing UniStrong Science & Technology Co, the fuel-servicing equipment base of Beijing Sanki Petroleum Technology Co and the innovation hub founded by nine companies, including Qingda Kehua Chuangyi (Beijing) Science and Technology Co.
Beijing UniStrong Science & Technology Co, a leader in the satellilte navigation industry, plans to make massive production of GNSS multiple-system cards and chips in the satellilte navigation industry base.
Beijing Sanki Petroleum Technology Co, one of the top three fuel dispensers in China, plans to build a fuel-servicing equipment base and national R&D center in BDA. The first phase of the project is expected to be completed in early 2012.
The innovation hub in BDA is designed to have 36 offices for 18 sectors, with a focus on innovations in science and technology and culture industry.
In the first quarter of this year, BDA attracted ten projects to the area, which will invest a total of RMB 5.9 billion in it. The area has started construction on ten new projects in the first three months, and the total number is expected to reach 40 this year, with total investment hitting RMB 33.6 billion.
