Aug. 3, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Anheuser-Busch InBev NV, the world’s leading brewer, saw its China sales rose 7.6% YoY in the second quarter of this year.
In the first half of this year, the brewer's China sales grew 5.9% YoY and its sales revenue for the six-month period swell 5.4% than it realized in the corresponding period of 2011.
The company's three core brands, Budweiser beer, Harbin beer and Sedrin beer, saw their total sales increased 14.7% YoY in the second quarter or 12.4% YoY in the first half of this year.
Deng Mingxiao, President of Anheuser-Busch InBev China, said that China is the world's largest market and has the highest growth, and the company will continue to strength its market position in the country.
Anheuser-Busch InBev recently announced that its new plant, located in
Xinxiang,
Henan Province, has gone into operation with an annual output capacity of 200,000 metric tons, while the capacity will reach 500,000 metric tons per year after the completion of the second phase.
