Dec. 18, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Shanghai's contracted foreign direct investment increased 7.8% YoY to US$1.6 billion in November this year, according to the latest statistics released by the Shanghai Statistics Bureau.
The city's utilized FDI grew 0.1% from a year ago to US$927 million last month.
Last month, the city signed 337 solely foreign-funded projects with contracted FDI of US$1.47 billion, up 29.4% YoY.
Tertiary industry attracted 374 projects worth US$1.35 billion during the month, which accounted for 84.5% of the city's total in November.
Meanwhile, the city's secondary industry attracted 23 projects last month with contracted FDI of US$248 million, down 2.8% than in the same month of last year.
