Dec. 18, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Shanghai saw its consumer price index (CPI) increase 2% YoY in November, according to the latest statistics released by the Shanghai Statistics Bureau.
Last month the city saw its food prices increase 3.1% from a year earlier.
The prices of cigarettes, alcohol and related products climbed 1.2% YoY, while the prices of household appliances and maintenance services rose 2.1% from a year earlier.
The price of personal and health care products increased 1.3% YoY in November, and the price of clothing edge up 0.3% YoY.
According to the statistics, the city's housing prices rose 2.4% YoY last month, while the price of transportation and telecommunications increased 1.7% YoY.
In the first eleven months of this year, the city's CPI rose 2.9% YoY.
