Dec. 14, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China Shenhua Energy Co Ltd<601088><1088>, the country's largest coal producer, has said it produced 24.2 million metric tons of commercial coal in November, reflecting a YoY increase of 0.8%.
Last month, the coal company sold 41.8 million tons of coal, 31.9% more than that in the same period of 2011. Of the total sales, 200,000 tons were exported, remained flat from a year earlier.
Meanwhile, China Shenhua Energy said its electricity output increased 9.2% YoY to 16.73 terawatt hours (TWh) in November, and its electricity sales rose 8.9% YoY to 15.54 TWhs.
In the first eleven months, the company's coal output rose 8.4% YoY to 279 million metric tons, while its coal sales for the eleven-month period grew 18.1% YoY to 412.4 million metric tons.
From January to November, the Shanghai and Hong Kong listed company saw its electricity output amount to 188.59 TWhs, up 9.4% from a year earlier, and its electricity sales rose 9.1% YoY to 175.39 TWhs.
