Dec. 14, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Zhengzhou, the capital city of Central China's Henan Province saw its consumer price index (CPI) increase 1.8% YoY or 0.3% MoM in November this year, according to the latest statistics released by the Zhengzhou Statistics Bureau.
Last month, the city’s food prices went up 2.4% YoY or 0.9% MoM, while its non-food prices grew 1.5% YoY or 0.1% from a month earlier.
The prices of tobacco products, alcohol and related products dropped 1.2% YoY, while the prices of household appliances and maintenance services grew 2.3% from a year earlier.
The price of personal and health care products increased 0.9% YoY in November, while the price of clothing edge down 0.4% YoY.
In November, the prices of transportation and communications remained flat from a year earlier, and there is an increase of 4.8% in housing costs.
