Dec. 13, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Guangzhou saw its consumer price index (CPI) increase 3.7% YoY or down 0.3% MoM in November, according to the latest statistics released by the Guangzhou Statistics Bureau.
Last month the food prices went up 0.6% MoM, driven by a 9.4% increase in fresh vegetable price and a 1.5% increase in grain price, while the prices of fresh fruits dropped 2.8% MoM.
The prices of cigarettes, alcohol and related products climbed 0.2% MoM, while the prices of household appliances and maintenance services rose 0.2% from a month earlier.
The price of personal and health care products decreased 0.2% MoM in November, and the price of clothing grew 0.5% MoM.
According to the statistics, the city's housing prices rose 0.6% MoM last month, while the price of transportation and telecommunications decreased 0.7% MoM.
In the first eleven months of this year, the city's CPI rose 2.9% YoY.
