Dec. 7, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Hyundai Motor Co, the top carmaker in South Korea, saw its auto sales in China
hit a record high of 142,987 units last month, more than 80,598 units it sold in October 2012.
Beijing Hyundai Motor, a joint venture established by Hyundai Motor Co and Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co Ltd, sold a total of 90,888 units in November, including 21,924 units of Elantra models, 18,977 units of Verna models and 14,580 units of ix35 models.
Meanwhile, Dongfeng Yuedakia Automobile, a joint venture between the Dongfeng Motor and South Korean-based Kia Motors saw its auto sales reach 52,099 units last month, and the sales of its K2 model exceeded 13,456 units in the month.
In the first eleven months of this year, the South Korea automaker saw its sales in China amount to 1.2 million units, up 12.7% from a year earlier.
