China Southern Airlines to buy 10 A330s

Dec. 6, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China Southern Airlines Co Ltd<600029><1055>, the country's largest air carrier by fleet size, has said it plans to buy 10 A330-300 aircrafts, according to a statement filed with Shanghai Stock Exchange.

After the transaction, the company's capacity will increase by about 5.7%.

Pursuant to the agreement, the Shanghai and Hong Kong listed air carrier said trading capital will comes from its self-owned capital and commercial loans.

Airbus will deliver these ten aircrafts between 2014 and 2016.

In August this year, Xiamen Airlines, a subsidiary of China Southern Airlines, announced to buy 40 Boeing 737 aircrafts with a contractual value worth US$3.36 billion, China Knowledge reported earlier.
