Ford China sales up 56% in Nov

Dec. 6, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Ford Motor Co, the second-largest car company in the U.S., has said its auto sales in China surged 56% YoY to 67,505 units last month, driven by strong demand for its new Ford Focus model.

Last month the sales of Ford Focus model reached a record high of 38,362 units.

Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co, Ford Motor's passenger vehicle joint venture in China, sold 50,423 vehicles in November, 71% more than in the same month of last year.

Meanwhile, Jiangling Motors Co<000550><200550>, Ford Motor's commercial vehicle JV, saw its auto sales grow 15.9% YoY to 15,903 units.

In the first eleven months of 2012, the U.S. automaker saw its auto sales in China increase 18% YoY.
