>, China's No.1 carmaker, has announced it will recall 17,853 units of Roewe 550 vehicles from Dec 29, said the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine
in a statement published on its website.
The quality watchdog said the affected Roewe autos were manufactured between May 1, 2008 and June 30, 2009.
The automaker said that the faulty dynamic stability control system in these autos might lose efficacy, adding that all affected Roewe models will be fixed free.
In the first ten months, the Shanghai listed
automaker saw its auto sales hit 3.72 million units, up 11.96% from a year earlier, China Knowledge reported earlier
