Nov. 22, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China saw its output of natural gas increase 7.3% YoY to 8.8 billion cubic meters in October this year, said the National Development and Reform Commission
in a statement published on its website.
In the first ten months of this year, the country produced 87.8 billion cu m of natural gas, 6.4% more than in the same period of last year.
From January to October, China saw its natural gas imports surged 37.6% from a year earlier to 34.4 billion cu m, which accounted for 28.98% of the country's total consumption.
The apparent consumption of natural gas amounted to 118.7 billion cu m from January to October, up 14.1% YoY.
