Nov. 22, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China saw its sales of lotteries increase 6% YoY to RMB 21.54 billion in October, according to the website of the country's Ministry of Finance
Last month, China's welfare lottery sales grew by RMB 728 million or 6.4% YoY to RMB 12.02 billion, while the sales of sports lottery amounted to RMB 9.52 billion, 5.3% more than it realized in the same period of last year.
The lottery sales in Zhejiang
Province and Henan
Province showed a YoY increase of RMB 308 million, RMB 186 million, RMB 181 million, RMB 143 million and RMB 120 million in October, respectively.
In the first ten month of this year, the country's lottery sales rose 18.5% YoY to RMB 211.02 billion, comprising RMB 123.1 billion in welfare lottery and RMB 87.92 billion in sport lottery, up 19.4% and 17.2% YoY, respectively.
