The telecom operator added 2.9 million mobile subscribers last month, compared to a net addition of 3.2 million mobile subscribers in September.
At the end of October 2012, Hong Kong-listed
China Telecom had 152.62 million mobile subscribers, including 59.72 million 3G users.
The company added 1.02 million broadband users last month, compared with a net addition of 1.2 million in September, which brought the firm's total broadband user volume to 87.98 million at the end of last month.
Meanwhile, the volume of the firm's fixed-line users declined 1.05 million to 164.91 million as of October 31, 2012.
