Province saw its import and export value decrease 5.2% YoY to US$41.81 billion in the first ten months of this year, according to the latest statistics released by the Shijiazhuang
The figure for the period accounted for 1.32% of the country's total foreign trade value.
From January to October, the province's import value plunged 16.4% YoY to US$17.16 billion, while its export value exceeded US$24.65 billion in the period, 4.6% more than it realized in the same period of last year.
The value of foreign trade under general trade was US$35.65 billion in the ten-month period, down 5.5% YoY, and the value of import and export under processing trade was US$5 billion, decreased 4.7% YoY.
In the first ten months of this year, the export value of mechanical and electronic products increased 2.7% YoY to US$8.42 billion, accounted for 34.16% of the total export value.
The province saw its foreign trade with the EU dropped 23.8% YoY to US$6.03 billion, while its trade with the U.S. and ASEAN rose 8% and 30.1% YoY to US$4.52 billion and US$3.41 billion, respectively.
