Nov. 15, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Japanese auto giant Toyota Motor Corp and its Chinese JV will recall 3,833 vehicles in China from Dec 13, said the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine
in a statement published on its website.
The quality watchdog said the recall will involve 3,737 Prius vehicles, which were produced between November 17, 2005 and April 22, 2009, 54 imported corolla vehicles, which were produced between October 5, 2001 and April 1, 2003 and 42 imported Prius vehicles produced between September 1, 2004 and October 5, 2005.
The automaker said that the faulty steering gear in these autos might Influence the vehicle to unable to steer, adding that all affected models will be fixed at no charge costs.
In the first ten months of this year, the Japanese saw its China sales decrease 1% YoY to 685,900 units, China Knowledge reported earlier
