China's refined copper output up 8.6% in Oct

Nov. 14, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China's refined copper output hit 520,000 metric tons in October, 8.6% more than in the same month of last year, according to statistics released by the National Bureau of Statistics.  

In the first ten months of this year, the country produced 4.94 million metric tons of refined copper, 7.4% more than in the same period of last year.

The NBS also said that China's refined copper mine output amounted 168,000 metric tons last month, up 34.4% YoY but down 0.6% from a month earlier.

From January to October, the country saw its output of refined copper mine grew 16% YoY to hit 1.32 million metric tons.
