Nov. 12, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Daimler AG's luxury car unit Mercedes-Benz has said it will recall 1,525 units of imported vehicles in China from Dec 26, said the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine
in a statement published on its website.
said the affected model includes B180 and B200 model which were manufactured between Feb 28, 2012 and Oct 8, 2012.
The automaker said the vent valve in these affected vehicles' fuel tank might be loose under the long-term use of 15% methanol fuel and lead to oil leak, adding that all affected vehicles will be fixed free.
Mercedes-Benz earlier announced its auto sales in China rose 6.7% YoY to 144,530 units in the first nine months of this year, China Knowledge reported earlier
