>, the world's second-largest PC maker, has announced its net profit grew 12.6% YoY to US$162.05 million in the second fiscal quarter.
According to a statement filed with Hong Kong Stock Exchange
, the company's revenue was US$8.67 billion in the second fiscal quarter, up 11.38% YoY.
In the first half of fiscal year 2012, Lenovo Group saw its operation revenue amounted to US$16.68 billion, up 21.71% YoY. Revenue from its laptop business rose 11.6% YoY to US$8.94 billion in the period.
Net profit for the six months period totaled US$303.41 million, more than US$252.72 million it earned in the same period of last year.
The group said that its sales of smart phones skyrocketed over 20 times during the six-month period, while sales of tablet PC surged 166% YoY in the period.
