's sales of passenger cars, including minibuses, amounted to 1.25 million units in October this year, up 11.7% YoY or 0.26% MoM, according to statistics released by the National Passenger Car Market Information Joint Committee.
Last month, the sales of SUVs experienced the biggest increase of 15.6% YoY, reaching 157,028 units, and the sales of sedans increased 11.9% YoY to 871,227 units. The sales of MPVs rose 7.4% YoY to 45,846 units, and sales of minibuses increased 8.2% YoY to 175,206 units.
Including sales of minibuses, the top four passenger car sellers in China in October were FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Co, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile, Shanghai General Motors Co Ltd and Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co Ltd, whose sales were 119,034 units, 118,044 units, 117,611 units and 111,777 million units, respectively.
In the first ten months of this year, China's sales of passenger cars rose 5.9% YoY to 11.7 million units, and its output of passenger cars grew 7.3% YoY to 12.55 million units.
