>, a major Chinese television and mobile phone manufacturer, sold 1.34 million LCD TVs in October, 38.52% more than a year earlier, according to a statement filed with the Shenzhen Stock Exchange
Of the total sales, 445,966 were smart TVs and 244,615 were 3D TVs.
On the domestic market, 754,200 LCD TVs were sold last month, up 49.53% YoY, while 578,800 LCD TVs were sold in the overseas market, reflecting a YoY increase of 27.41%.
Last month, the company saw sales of smart phones reach 763,609 units, air conditioners soar 10.79% from a year earlier to 176,971 units, refrigerators increase 20.36% YoY to 34,471 units and washing machines grow 44.07% YoY to 90,765 units.
In the first ten months of this year, TCL saw LCD TV sales total 12.39 million units, up 49.74% from a year earlier, while the sales of smart phones amounted to 4.95 million units, up 476.97% YoY.
