>, China's No.1 carmaker, has announced its auto sales rose 20.68% YoY to 414,471 units in October this year.
The figure last month was higher than 393,986 units it sold in September this year.
In the first ten months, the group's auto sales reached 3.72 million units, up 11.96% YoY.
Shanghai Volkswagen Automotive Co Ltd, a 50-50 joint venture set up with Volkswagen AG, sold 1.08 million cars from January to October, up 12.58% YoY.
Another JV, Shanghai General Motors Co Ltd, which SAIC Motor established with General Motors, sold 1.14 million cars in the ten-month period, increasing 10.31% from the same period of last year.
SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile Corp, a joint venture of General Motors, Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp and Liuzhou Wuling Motors Co, saw its sales grow 13.6% from the same period of 2011 to 1.21 million units.
The Chinese auto giant also said that its auto output rose 14.11% YoY to 3.69 million units in the ten months period.
