Nov. 6, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Mazda Motor Corp, a Japanese automobile maker, has said its auto sales in China
decreased 45% YoY last month to 9,511 units.
The figure was lower than 13,258 vehicles it sold in September 2012.
In the first ten month of this year, the company's auto sales amounted to 157,627 units, 9% less than it realized in the corresponding period of last year.
Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co, Ford Motor's passenger vehicle joint venture in China, sold 63,694 Mazda-branded vehicles during the ten-month period, 0.3% more than it realized in the same period of 2011.
Meanwhile, FAW Mazda Motor Sales Co Ltd, a joint venture between FAW Group and Mazda Motor, sold a total of 93,933 vehicles in China, down 15% from a year earlier.
As of the end of October, the Japanese automaker had 391 4S dealers in China, and it aims to enlarge the number to over 420 by the end of this year.
