Ford Motor's China sales surges 48% in Oct

Nov. 6, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Ford Motor Co, the second-largest car company in the U.S., has said its auto sales in China rose 48% YoY to 60,518 units last month, driven by strong demand for its new Ford Focus model.
 
Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Co, Ford Motor's passenger vehicle joint venture in China, sold 43,555 vehicles in October, 65% more than in the same month of last year.

Jiangling Motors Co<000550><200550>, Ford Motor's commercial vehicle JV, saw its auto sales grow 14% YoY to 16,029 units.

In the first eight months of 2012, the U.S. automaker saw its auto sales in China increase 14% YoY.
