Nov. 5, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Honda Motor Co, a major Japanese carmaker, has announced that its joint ventures in China
sold 24,100 vehicles in China market in October this year, reflecting a YoY decrease of 54%.
In September 2012, Honda saw its auto sales in China plunge 41% YoY due to the territorial dispute between China and Japan.
In the first ten month of this year, the Japanese automaker sold a total of 494,100 vehicles in China, 2.7% more than in the corresponding period of 2011.
China is the second largest market for Honda. Last year the company sold 617,764 vehicles in the country which accounted for 17% of its global sales.
At Oct 29, 2012, the Company announced to cut its annual sales target in China from 750,000 units to 620,000 units.
