Nov. 2, 2012 (China Knowledge) - Japanese auto giant Toyota Motor Corp saw its China
sales plunge 44% from a year earlier to 45,600 units in October this year, source reported.
In September 2012, Toyota saw its China sales dropped nearly 40% YoY to about 50,000 units, due to the territorial dispute between China and Japan.
In the first nine months of this year, the Japanese automaker along its two joint ventures in China sold a total of 685,900 autos in China, 1% less than it realized in the corresponding period of last year.
In 2011, Toyota sold 895,000 vehicles in China, and it aimed to realize 1 million units in 2012.
