Asustek Computer, the world's fifth-largest personal computer vendor, has said its net profit surge 43% YoY to NT$6.71 billion or US$229.5 million in the third quarter of this year.
The profit for Q3 this year was higher than the forecast of NT$5.41 billion estimated by 16 analysts at FactSet.
In the three months ended September, the computer vendor saw its operation revenue amount to NT$111.44 billion, 9% more than it realized in the corresponding period of last year.
In the third quarter of this year, Asustek saw its shipment of laptop and tablet PC reach 5 million units and 2.3 million units, respectively, and it expected its shipment of laptop and tablet PC will hit 5.5 million units and 2.6 million units in next quarter.
