>, the world's largest shipping container maker, has said its net profit attributable to shareholders fell 52.3% YoY to RMB 1.58 billion in the first nine months of this year.
The company saw its operating revenue fell 20.19% YoY to RMB 40.7 billion in the first nine months, and basic earnings per share were RMB 0.6.
From January to September, the company sold 914,000 twenty-foot equivalent units (TEU) of dry cargo containers, 26.24% less than in the same period of 2011.
The sales of reefer containers were 95,900 TEUs in the period, down 27.29% YoY, while the sales of special containers fell 6.27% to 58,300 TEUs.
