>, the country's largest coal producer, has announced its net profit attributable to shareholders grow 6.5% YoY to RMB 36.56 billion in the first nine months of this year.
Basic earnings per share for the period were RMB 1.84, up 6.5% from a year earlier.
From January to September, the coal producer saw its operation revenue reach RMB 178.37 billion, reflecting a YoY increase of 15.5%.
In the first nine months of this year, the company's output of commercial coal amounted to 231 million metric tons, up 10% YoY, while it sold 330 million metric tons of coal during the period, 15.1% more than it realized in the same period of 2011.
Meanwhile, China Shenhua Energy saw its electricity output grew 10.2% YoY to 155.63 terawatt hours (TWh) in the nine months period, and its electricity sales increased 9.9% YoY to 144.8 TWhs.
