>, a leading Chinese coal producer, has said it suffered a net loss of RMB 79.59 billion in the third quarter of this year, compared with a net profit of RMB 1.08 billion it realized in the same period of last year.
In the first nine months of this year, Yanzhou Coal Mining's profit amounted to RMB 4.83 billion, down 20.98% from a year earlier, while its basic earnings per share for the nine-month period were RMB 0.98.
From January to September, the coal producer saw its operation revenue totaled RMB 42.11 billion, reflecting a YoY increase of 26.14%.
The company produced 49.83 million metric tons of raw coal and 45.96 million metric tons of commercial coal during the nine months period, up 19.8% and 19.7% YoY, respectively.
Meanwhile, its commercial coal sales rose 48.3% YoY to 65.81 million metric tons during the period.
