>, one of China's two leading train manufacturers, has said its net profit increase 7.06% YoY to RMB 690.85 million in the third quarter of this year.
According to a statement filed with Shanghai Stock Exchange
, basic earnings per share for the period were RMB 0.07.
From July to September, the train manufacturer realized RMB 21.46 billion in operation revenue, less than RMB 23.05 it earned in the corresponding period of last year.
In the first nine month of this year, CNR saw its operation revenue amount to RMB 61.71 billion, down 0.34% YoY, while its net profit for the period rose 7.06% YoY to RMB 2.35 billion.
In another statement, the company said it recently inks a RMB 2.3-billion contract with the government of Rio de Janeiro state to export electric trains.
