>, the country's second largest telecommunications operator, has said its net profit for the first nine month of this year grow 29.9% YoY to RMB 5.45 billion.
According to a statement filed with Hong Kong Stock Exchange
, basic earnings per share for the period were RMB 0.23.
The company's EBITDA grew 12.7% YoY to RMB 54.78 billion in the period.
From January to September, China Unicom saw its operation revenue amount to RMB 185.19 billion, up 18.8% from a year earlier. Revenue from mobile telecom business increased 22.7% from a year earlier to RMB 122.07 billion, of which RMB 42.72 billion was from its 3G services.
The company saw its mobile subscribers increase 29.83 million to 229.49 million in the first nine months, including 66.86 million 3G users, 26.84 million more than at the end of 2011.
