saw its unemployment rate decrease 0.08 percentage points in September this year to 4.32% from the 4.4% recorded in a month earlier, according to the latest statistics released by the island's Directorate-General of Budget, Accounting and Statistics.
The increase in unemployment rate for last month was mainly due to the quit of part-time students and the end of summer temporary job.
In September, Taiwan's seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 4.3%, higher than 4.29% it realized in August this year.
The number of unemployed people decreased to 491,000 in September, and that of employed people was 10.88 million last month.
