Oct. 23, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China saw its output of natural gas increase 8.2% YoY to 8.17 billion cubic meters in September this year, said the National Development and Reform Commission
in a statement published on its website.
In the first nine months of this year, the country produced 77.98 billion cu m of natural gas, 5.2% more than in the same period of last year.
From January to September, China saw its natural gas imports surged 35.5% from a year earlier to 30.5 billion cu m, which accounted for 28.64% of the country's total consumption.
The apparent consumption of natural gas amounted to 106.5 billion cu m from January to September, up 13.6% YoY.
