Acer Inc, a leading PC vendor in the world, has posted NT$68 million or US$2.3 million-net profit for the third quarter of this year, compared to a net loss of NT$1.1 billion it suffered in the same period of last year.
The profit for Q3 this year was lower than the forecast of NT$462.5 million estimated by 17 analysts at FactSet.
In the three month ended Sep 30, 2012, the Taiwan-based PC vendor saw its revenue decline 11.4% from a year earlier to NT$104.4 billion.
Acer earlier announced that its net profit for Q1 and Q2 of this year reach NT$331 million and NT$56 million, respectively.
