>, a leading Chinese coal producer, has announced its Australian subsidiary produced 16.81 million metric tons of raw coal in the first nine month of this year, reflecting a YoY increase of 28%.
According to a statement, the coal producer produced 11.87 million metric tons of commercial coal in Australia during the nine-month period, 26% more than it realized in the corresponding period of 2011.
From January to September this year, the company's coal sales amounted to 11.85 million metric tons, up 21% from a year earlier.
In the first half of this year, Yanzhou Coal Mining's Australian unit recorded a net profit of AUD415.7 million, 66% more than in the same period of last year, China Knowledge reported earlier.
