Oct. 19, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China saw its sales of lotteries increase 4.4% YoY to RMB 20.51 billion in September, according to the website of the country's Ministry of Finance
Last month, China's welfare lottery sales grew by RMB 968 million or 8.9% YoY to RMB 11.84 billion, while the sales of sports lottery amounted to RMB 8.68 billion, 1.1% less than it realized in the same period of last year.
The lottery sales in Guangdong
Province and Henan
Province showed a YoY increase of RMB 249 million, RMB 167 million, RMB 123 million, RMB 113 million and RMB 112 million in September, respectively.
In the first nine month of this year, the country's lottery sales rose 20.1% YoY to RMB 189.48 billion, comprising RMB 111.08 billion in welfare lottery and RMB 78.4 billion in sport lottery, up 21% and 18.8% YoY, respectively.
