Province, saw its consumer price index (CPI) increase 1.9% YoY or down 0.4% MoM in September this year, according to the latest statistics released by the Jiangsu Statistics Bureau.
Last month the food prices went up 1.1% from a year earlier but down 0.9% than in August 2012.
The prices of cigarettes, alcohol and related products climbed 4.1% YoY but declined 0.3% MoM, while the prices of household appliances and maintenance services rose 3.6% YoY and dropped 0.6% from a month earlier.
The price of personal and health care products increased 0.9% YoY or 0.2% MoM in September, and the price of clothing grew 6.2% YoY and 5.5% MoM.
According to the statistics, the city's housing prices rose 4.7% YoY or 0.1% MoM last month. The price of transportation and telecommunications decreased 1.2% YoY but down 0.6% MoM.
In the first nine months of this year, Nanjing's CPI rose 3% YoY.
